Since his commencement in 2003, Ron Knott has become an irreplaceable member of the National Trust of SA, Moonta Branch, in particular at the Wheal Hughes Copper Mine as an accredited underground tour guide & maintenace manager. 

At the Moonta Mines Tourist Railway he is a train driver & in charge of records and rolling stock.  Ron also drives the Road Tram for Christmas Lights and other tours.

He is a very worthy recipient of the National Trust of SA Certificate of Appreciation.
